The promotion is open from Feb. 15 to April 30, and is part of PSE&G’s campaign to promote energy efficiency through electric cars and EV charging stations.
In addition to the $10,000 rebate, PSE&G customers also could be eligible for up to $7,500 in federal tax credits. (The purchase of a i3 is not subject to state sales tax in New Jersey.)
The BMW incentive, added to potential federal tax credits, should equal roughly one-third of the base i3 model price, according to BMW.
“The BMW i3 is the best-selling premium electric vehicle in the world,” said Magnus Aspegren, Strategy Manager, Electromobility at BMW of North America. “With a range of up to 114 miles on a single charge and the same uncompromised driving performance typical of every BMW model, the BMW i3 is also proof that driving electric is as practical as it is fun.”
To take advantage of the promotion, PSE&G customers can download a PSEGBMW customer information form at PSEG.com/goelectric and take it to any BMW dealership along with a copy of their PSE&G bill.
