Qdoba marks latest NJ opening with free burritos for a year

Mexican restaurant is celebrating the launch of its newest restaurant in New Jersey by giving away burritos and bowls every month for a year.

Located at 1070 White Horse Ave. in Hamilton Township, the spot is scheduled to hold its grand opening celebration Nov. 17.

Following a 10:15 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony with the , -owned outpost will begin serving customers at 10:30 a.m.

As part of the festivities, the first 100 guests who make a purchase will score a punch card to redeem 12 months’ worth of free eats. The opening day will also include games and , TIG said.

Additionally, between Nov. 14 and 23 the new store will offer daily specials and exclusive offers to rewards members. The lineup includes $1 tacos Nov. 18, $8 burritos for students Nov. 20 and buy one entrée, get one free Nov. 21.

Founded in 1995, Qdoba is known for its customizable bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and salads. Along with dine-in and takeout, the chain offers catering services, boxed meals and group bundles.

Within New Jersey, the brand has 27 locations. That includes TIG’s recently opened Qdoba stores in Secaucus, Marlton and Linden.

The Pennsylvania-based hospitality group’s five-state footprint also includes Dave’s Hot Chicken, Checkers & Rally’s and The Greene Turtle. As part of a broader expansion effort, the 10-year-old group aims to hit 100 total units nationwide by 2030.

Locally, TIG’s development plans include Dave’s Hot Chicken on Route 202 in Flemington soon. It expects to introduce Ford Motor Co.-inspired burger and craft beer concept Ford’s Garage in New Jersey, too.
