Ramsey-based ReturnQueen brings hassle-free returns to 9K ZIP codes

Need to return an online order? It’s getting much easier thanks to a first-of-its-kind app-based service headquartered in Ramsey.

Following its January 2021 launch, ReturnQueen – which provides full-service, on-demand returns, including doorstep pickups, sorting, boxing, taping, labeling and shipping – has grown to service more than 9,000 ZIP codes across the U.S., with plans to continue expanding into other key locations.

After noticing a void in the market for a company that handles the entire online returns process, Daphna Englard and Dasya Katz wanted to offer consumers a service that did just that.

For as little as $9 per pickup, $19 per month for unlimited pickups, or $99 per year for an annual membership, all members have to do is drop their items for return by their front door and one of ReturnQueen’s drivers will haul, pack, label and return all unwanted items back to the retailer.

In a joint statement, Englard and Katz told NJBIZ, “The most common feedback we’ve heard to-date is how life-changing our service is and how easy it is to use. People are blown away by the concept and can’t believe they’ve never heard of it until now. We’ll hear things like, ‘Where have you been all my life?’”

“Our recurring pickup rate is over 70%, which means customers love our service. It is evident that there is such a large appetite for ReturnQueen, so it’s critical to continue to market ourselves to men and women across the United States,” they said.

ReturnQueen has a mixture of full- and part-time employees servicing nearly two dozen cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York City, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh Durham, Seattle, Tampa and San Francisco. ReturnQueen also operates throughout New Jersey.

After helping grow the business over the last two years, Englard and Katz were appointed co-chief executive officers of ReturnQueen Feb. 22.

As part of their new roles, they are responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including product development, marketing, partnerships, customer/client acquisition and expansion.

“One of our main goals for the next five-plus years is to continue our expansion to new cities and ZIP codes across the country in order to reach new customers and provide them with our white-glove, contactless service,” Englard and Katz said. “We also look forward to evolving our service offerings to ensure members are able to return anything, from anywhere, wholly embodying the slogan ‘Returns Made Easy.’”

Michael Katz, Dasya’s husband and the company’s previous chief executive officer and current board chairman, said, “”We’re thrilled for our dynamic founders Daphna Englard and Dasya Katz to assume the role as co-chief executive officers at ReturnQueen.”

“Daphna and Dasya have been an integral part of the company and we’re confident that their proven leadership skills, industry-based experience and commitment to core company values and culture made them the natural choice to step into this esteemed role,” Katz said, “We look forward to watching them lead and oversee the next phase of growth and expansion.”
