J.G. Petrucci teams up with baseball training complex in Flemington.J.G. Petrucci Co. Inc., an Asbury-based real estate developer, announced today a marketing partnership with Diamond Nation, a baseball and softball tournament and training complex in Flemington, and its related properties, HealthQuest Sports Center and HealthQuest Park, which also are located in the Hunterdon County borough.

For J.G. Petrucci, benefits of the one-year partnership will include highly visible signage at the three facilities, prominent placement on the Diamond Nation Web site and full- page advertisements throughout the year in Diamond Nation Magazine.

The partnership is a new marketing strategy for the design-build firm, which traditionally has used business-to-business marketing and advertisements.

“There are a lot of parents who are potential clients that will have their kids training there,” said Steve Gardner, director of marketing at J.G. Petrucci. “We thought it would be a very cost-efficient way of letting our company name get out there to a different audience.” The 65-acre Diamond Nation campus draws people from all over central New Jersey, as well as eastern Pennsylvania, he said.

The Internet and other forms of media “can get a little cluttered, and it’s hard to stand out,” he added. The partnership “is something a little bit different that we thought might get us noticed.”

Gardner declined to provide specifics on the financial terms of the partnership, but said the amount being paid to Diamond Nation is “modest.” The marketing partnership is a first for the company, and “if it’s successful, it would open the door to other things.”
