The 58th edition of the NPLA Conference is coming to Atlantic City.

Jonathan Hornik and Private Lender Law, the practice group of LaRocca Hornik Rosen & Greenberg, announced the private lending summit, formerly known as the Pitbull Conference, will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino June 19-21.

“As we’ve rebranded from the Pitbull Conference to the NPLA Conference, we’ve acted on feedback from sponsors, lending leaders and brokers throughout the private lending industry — people want to do business, learn, and have a good time,” Hornik said. “To do that, you have to get the right people in the right rooms, at the right time. And that’s what we do through groundbreaking networking opportunities, top-tier education, and unforgettable entertainment.”

According to its organizers, the NPLA Conference is the “ultimate destination” for the private lending industry.

This year’s event will feature CNBC Senior Analyst and commentator Ron Insana as special guest speaker, whose keynote address is set to include sharp market analysis, according to an announcement about the conference.

The National Private Lenders (NPLA) Conference logoDevyn Bachman, senior vice president of research and operations at U.S. housing analysis firm John Burns Research & Consulting, will also speak at the event, exploring quantitative and qualitative trends driving the current market conditions for investors and lenders involved in the housing market.

In addition to programming, the private lending conference also offers events to foster connections through networking and activities. A cocktail reception will be held the evening of June 20 and an NPLA member mixer and official after-party is planned for June 21.

A poker tournament will get things started June 19, featuring an appearance from Molly Bloom, author of the best-selling memoir “Molly’s Game” and the operator of the world’s largest private poker games. Proceeds from the event will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Managing Partner Hornik and Private Lender Law acquired the National Private Lenders Association in 2022, rebranding its Pitbull Conference shortly thereafter. According to the team, the rebrand reflects the important role the association plays in the summit, which has returned annually for three years. Hornik himself has been attending the event for more than 10 years.

“As an attendee, speaker, and exhibitor, I built strong and meaningful business relationships through the NPLA Conference, and it played a key role in growing Private Lending Law into the largest full-service law firm in the U.S. private lending industry,” Hornik said. “The conference has always brought people together to do business, and under our vision, it will continue to do so in new and exciting ways for anyone who attends.”
