RHS Group of Newark acquired a 160,000-square-foot light industrial building in Linden.
The company announced on Aug. 16 its purchase of the multi-tenanted property at 601 W. Linden Ave., and said it plans to renovate the facility.
“Our plan is to upgrade and reposition the building as a high functioning multi-tenant warehouse,” Director of Real Estate Jordan Kolb said in a statement. “Combined with the asset’s outstanding location, loading, parking and high ceilings warehouses, we expect to own one of the trophy assets in the neighborhood.”
RHS said the purchase builds on its philosophy of maximizing value to meet tenant demands—like the company’s 2018 purchase of the 100,000-square-foot industrial building at 100 3rd Ave. in Kearny.
According to RHS Group, 601 W. Linden Ave. boasts close proximity to the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway from its location in the Route 1/9 Linden industrial area.
The transaction was brokered by David Blitt of Edison-based Bussel Realty Corp. and Joel Katz of Katz & Sterling Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
