Shrewsbury-based InterCloud Systems Inc. announced Friday that its Aruba networks-based “Airwave as a Service” cloud-managed Wi-Fi solution has been selected by Russel Reynolds Associates to manage and deploy its global wireless infrastructure.”After a thorough evaluation of competing technologies, it was clear to us that InterCloud’s ‘Airwave as a Service’ and Aruba’s technology were the perfect pairing to give Russell Reynolds a next generation Wi-Fi solution that allows for the best user experience, incredible management functionality, and lower total cost of ownership,” Ron Ongley, global head of technology infrastructure, Russell Reynolds Associates, said in a prepared statement.

“We are proud to announce that Russell Reynolds Associates has become a strategic customer. We released news about the proof of concept for ‘Airwave as a Service’ less than two months ago and we are now moving forward with it in production. … We look forward to the many new opportunities we believe will come to InterCloud as the enterprise market learns about this cloud management and orchestration product,” Mark Munro, InterCloud CEO, said in a prepared statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
