Quick service restaurants Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panera Bread are among retailers that have signed leases at Russo Development’s Vermella Union mixed-use residential community on Morris Avenue in Union.
The restaurants make up a portion of the 35,000-square-foot retail center, scheduled to open in July to coincide with the community’s first phase availability of 415 rental apartments and 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space.
Carlstadt-based Russo Development said it can customize retail spaces between 1,000 and 15,000 square feet.
At full build-out, Vermella Union’s 42-acre campus-style community will include over 1,250 apartments, a 25,000-square-foot clubhouse, a fitness center, pool, business center and package concierge, located steps from Kean University’s campus, the Union Train Station and minutes from the Garden State Parkway and NJ Turnpike.
