RWJBarnabas Health said Sept. 16 that it recently announced a series of systemwide leadership and management transitions, and expanded responsibilities for seven key executives, elevating them to executive vice president titles.
The health care system said these senior team members have been promoted to recognize both the importance of their position as well as the tremendous contributions they have made as individuals to the success of the organization.

Ostrowsky
“To further build upon our current success, we must continually assess how we are structured and ensure we have the best leadership in every role. These executives have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to our mission of delivering world-class patient care to communities across the state of New Jersey,” said Barry Ostrowsky, president and chief executive officer, RWJBarnabas Health. “I am proud of their accomplishments and eager to move forward with this team of diverse leaders who are each dedicated to excellence in their respective fields. I am equally pleased to further our commitment to equity and diversity, as we continue to elevate the roles and responsibilities associated with this very important part of our mission.”
Executive leadership elevations

He will also oversee RWJBarnabas Health’s Social Impact and Community Investment (SICI) practice.

Dr. Trina Parks assumed the role of executive vice president, chief corporate diversity and inclusion officer. This role supports the successful work of the Corporate Office of Diversity and Inclusion (CODI), focused on attracting and developing diverse talent, and engaging respectfully with RWJBarnabas Health’s diverse communities.
Eileen Urban was formerly the chief investment officer and senior vice president of treasury. Earlier this year, RWJBarnabas Health announced Urban’s retirement. In recognition of her vast contributions to the system—including establishing a world-class investment management and treasury function, exceptional management of the system’s $2.5 billion debt portfolio and serving as a mentor to countless system leaders—Urban was named executive vice president, treasury, and chief investment officer.
