Princeton-based public safety and emergency response provider IXP Corporation has named a new controller, bolstering its financial management team.Thomas K. Swietek will help the company with transparency and help it growth through functional and operational excellence, IXP said Thursday in a news release. An industry veteran, he has worked for companies such as KSS Architects LLP, Chilworth Technology Inc. and Clive Samuels & Associates.

“Tom Swietek has a unique perspective as a performance leader, both within the finance function and throughout the company,” Amy Onder, IXP’s chief of business operations, said in a prepared statement. “He will help us further enhance our relationship with our clients because he view business from the ‘outside in’ — from our clients’ perspective. This outlook has been honed from his experience working in professional services companies.”

IXP’s emergency call centers operate in several U.S. states, the company said, adding that it has secured $40 million in signed contracts through 2019 and has added more than 50 staff members in the past year to meet demand.

“Tom is a true professional; his deep financial and leadership experience will be a strong complement to our executive team,” William Metro, IXP’s chief executive officer, said in a statement. “He will be an invaluable asset to us as we continue to drive our growth, as the call for our services increases. … Tom is uniquely positioned to help us maintain our adaptability and agility in today’s client-centric public safety world.”
