Sanctuary Cannabis, a Massachusetts-based multistate operator, is launching its first medical cannabis dispensary in New Jersey.
Located at 2581 Route 22 in Scotch Plains, the storefront is expected to open soon, though Sanctuary has not announced an official date yet.
As a vertically integrated cannabis company, Sanctuary sells a range of products, including edibles, concentrates, vapes and flower for medical patients and adult-use customers.
Also known as Sanctuary Medicinals, the MSO has an established presence in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida.

After receiving a medicinal license from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission in 2021, Sanctuary was recently awarded a provisional retail license for recreational cannabis sales.
In a statement announcing the company’s upcoming arrival in New Jersey, Sanctuary Chief Executive Officer Jason Sidman said, “We are thrilled to bring Sanctuary Cannabis to Scotch Plains and further extend our commitment to becoming good community partners.”
