Sanofi Consumer Healthcare is getting a new home in downtown Morristown, bringing another 70 employees from the global health care and pharmaceutical company to the city.
The Hampshire Cos. announced Sept. 26 it negotiated a 16,903-square-foot lease with the division for 21 South St. The deal brings the newly renovated, 43,691-square-foot Class A office building to full occupancy.
Earlier this year, Sanofi announced it would move its flagship New Jersey location from Bridgewater to M Station West in Morristown, a forthcoming 260,000-square-foot office building that is expected to bring 1,900 employees to the city by 2025.
The Consumer Healthcare team is scheduled to move into its new digs at 21 South St. in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to The Hampshire Cos. Sanofi will lease the entire first-floor retail space, the entire second-floor office space and will occupy part of the building’s available third-floor office space.
In July, Sanofi announced it would expand its Consumer Healthcare portfolio with the Qunol supplement brand, in a move to strengthen the “health & wellness” of the segment.

Originally built as a bank in 1911, 21 South St. was transformed 110 years later by The Hampshire Cos. into a boutique office space for a modern workforce. A testament to that work – and the area’s offerings – the company relocated its own headquarters to a 25,665-square-foot space on the third and forth floors in 2021.
“To find success in today’s office leasing environment and appeal to high-quality tenants like Sanofi’s Consumer Healthcare, buildings must successfully combine location, adaptability and modern design,” said John Durso, chief investment officer and executive vice president of development for The Hampshire Cos. “Every element of 21 South St.’s transformation has been designed with that balance in mind. We are excited to welcome Sanofi to this new space in downtown Morristown.”
The county seat has attracted a number of high-profile companies recently with its walkable mix of transportation, shopping, dining and entertainment options, including Valley National Bank and Deloitte, which relocated from Parsippany to M Station East.
