Summit’s Saxum Real Estate recently announced five additions to its team, three of whom will focus on acquisitions.
Vice President of Acquisitions Ian Kukowski is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing Saxum’s industrial acquisition and joint venture opportunities nationwide, with a particular focus on the Southeast. According to a statement from Director of Investments, Industrial Steve Feinberg, Kukowski will open Saxum’s office in Atlanta. “His well-rounded institutional experience will be instrumental in strategically expanding Saxum’s industrial footprint across the Southeast,” Feinberg said.
Chad Yablonsky joins as counsel. He will work with internal team members in addition to affiliates and subsidiaries on a range of transactional matters including acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, corporate governance, financings, risk management and operations.
Yablonsky previously served as associate general counsel at Kushner Real Estate Group and as an associate at CSG Law. Saxum General Counsel Lee Samuelson said he will enable the company to expand its in-house capabilities and “help Saxum enhance its growth, service and market presence.”
Both Spencer Kopko and Brandon Stern come on board as senior acquisitions analysts. In the roles, Kopko and Stern will work on underwriting, due diligence, financing and closing activities for the firm’s industrial acquisition and joint venture opportunities.
Rounding out the group is Patrick Whelan, who joins as a development associate. He will be involved with pre-development and construction processes in addition to helping the acquisitions team with preliminary budgeting.
National real estate investment and development firm Saxum Real Estate specializes in value-add and opportunistic development opportunities across the U.S. in across multiple asset classes.
