Schindler Elevator names head of Canadian operations

Schindler Elevator Corporation, the North American arm of the Swiss elevator and escalator company Schindler Group, has named a new Canadian president.Patrick Marton will take over operations in Canada effective April 1, the Morristown-based company said in a news release. Marton was most recently the manager of Schindler’s Lausanne, Switzerland, branch.

“Patrick’s industry expertise and background in operations management, combined with his experience within Schindler, make him well-qualified to take on the leadership of our business in Canada,” Greg Ergenbright, president of Schindler North America, said in a prepared statement. “Under his leadership, we can look forward to the continued success of Schindler’s growing Canadian presence.”

Prior to his 2009 arrival at Schindler, Marton was an executive with KONE Elevator.
