Joseph Scorese joined Sills Cummis & Gross PC in Newark as a member of the tax, trusts and estates practice.
He focuses on complex estate planning and estate and trust administration for high net worth individuals and families in New Jersey and New York.
Scorese helps clients design and realize appropriate and realistic estate planning goals, and then implements them with customized drafting solutions utilizing sophisticated wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, qualified personal residence trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and intentionally defective grantor trusts.
Scorese also works with fiduciaries and beneficiaries to provide creative tax planning ideas to minimize taxation from income and capital gains taxes, estate tax, gift tax and generation-skipping transfer tax, maximizing wealth passing to family.
He joins Sills Cummis from two decades at Harwood Lloyd LLC, where he was a partner.
