Seton Hall University announced that its law school has launched a new master of laws degree in financial services compliance. This new degree will be offered online, although students are also free to take traditional classes at the law school.According to Timothy Glynn, associate dean for graduate and professional education, the program has been designed to address emerging issues in the financial services industry.

“Compliance remains the fastest-growing area in the financial services industry, offering new opportunities for attorneys with specialized knowledge of financial services law and compliance,” he said. “Seton Hall Law’s LL.M. degree enables practicing attorneys to acquire this knowledge and compliance-related skills with the convenience of an online program.”

According to Seton Hall, the degree provides an in-depth examination of key aspects of the law governing financial institutions. Students in the program will have the opportunity to take courses that include securities law and compliance, corporate finance and cybersecurity.

To graduate from the program, students must complete 24 credits with an average GPA of 3.0.
