The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will honor five at its Annual Winter Gala, coming this December.
Featuring a cocktail reception and awards presentation, the Dec. 7 gala at Hudson House in Jersey City will celebrate what SHCCNJ characterized as “another strong year for the fastest-growing minority business group in the state.”
McCarter & English Partner, Judge Jose Linares will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award; JAG Companies Inc. Chairman Juan Gutierrez will receive the President’s Award; La Providencia Co-founder Lilia Rios will receive the Rising Star of the Year Award; Noticias Univision 41 Co-anchor Katiria Soto will be recognized as the Latina Trailblazer of the Year; and United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Ramiro Cavazos will receive SHCCNJ’s Special Guest Recognition.
According to a statement from SHCCNJ President and CEO Carlos Medina, recipients are honored for their contributions, excellence and leadership in their professions – extending from “extraordinary and visionary persons, as well as corporate and government advocates.”
“It has been an amazing year of many milestones for our Chamber, and we are excited to celebrate with all who contributed to our familia’s success,” Chairman Luis De La Hoz said in a prepared statement.
The Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the state’s largest according to NJBIZ Lists’ 2019 Chambers of Commerce rankings, represents the interests of more than 120,000 Latino businesses contributing more than $20 billion to the state’s economy.
