SHI posts record first-half revenue of 3.7B

Privately held SHI said in a news release that the mark represented a 12 percent increase over the year-earlier period. SHI added that support for increased Windows 10 adoption on a variety of technology platforms — including Dell, HP Inc., Lenovo and others — helped fuel the results. Likewise, SHI bolstered its data center and cloud business on a variety of platforms, which also drove growth.

“The first half of 2017 saw steady growth balanced between our customers’ need to refresh end-user hardware and deploy innovative and secure data center solutions across their organizations,” Thai Lee, CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “Through our existing partnerships with the leading technology companies, we’re able to support our customers’ initiatives quickly and effectively.

“Many customers are choosing migrations to Windows 10 as a timely opportunity to upgrade end-user computing devices, while our account executives and advanced solutions teams continue to deliver integrated, expert support of on-premises, cloud and hybrid data center solutions.”

The company said its corporate and small/medium business division led domestic growth with a 20 percent revenue increase, while the strategic and commercial enterprise unit saw a 7.5 percent increase. Internationally, the U.K. division posted a 50 percent year-over-year increase, leading global efforts.

SHI is one of the state’s largest privately held companies, as well as one of the largest women- and minority-owned firms, according to NJBIZ lists.
