One of New Jersey’s energy service providers has a new hire to lead it’s “people” department.
Folsom-based SJI said Kathleen Larkin began her role as senior vice president and chief human resources, effective May 11.
Larkin, who joins from her position as senior vice president, human resources at CubeSmart, will provide strategic leadership for the department, develop methodologies using data to align key stakeholders, engage teams, and executive the company’s strategy, according to SJI.
“Strong leadership has never been more important than it is right now,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Renna said in a prepared statement. “I am confident that under Kathleen’s leadership, the employee experience at SJI will continue to evolve in support of our long-term success.”
SJI serves approximately 700,000 customers in New Jersey and Maryland through its utility businesses: South Jersey Gas, Elizabethtown Gas and Elkton Gas. Its non-utility business operates as South Jersey Energy Solutions, and SJI Midstream houses its interest in the PennEast Pipeline Project.
