Laurel.The Southern New Jersey Development Council unveiled upcoming South Jersey construction projects worth $8.8 billion at its 9th Annual Construction Development Forecast and Exhibits held at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Mt. Laurel. The event, presented by Cherry Hill’s Commerce Bank, gave attendees first-hand information on 2005-2006 construction projects not yet up for bid, as well as networking opportunities. Among those who participated in a panel on private-sector development were Jim Van Wart of the New Jersey Health Care Facilities Financing Authority; Peter Hovnanian of Mt. Laurel’s J.S. Hovnanian & Sons; Joe Scarpa of Mt. Laurel’s Legend Properties; and George Sowa of Pennsylvania’s Brandywine Realty Trust.
