South Jersey Industries announced Monday that its South Jersey Resources Group unit will supply fuel management services to a Virginia natural gas generating station.South Jersey Resources Group, which is a subsidiary of SJR’s South Jersey Energy Solutions, received a four-year contract with Panda Power Funds for the Stonewall Power Project. That makes South Jersey the exclusive provider of natural gas supplies and services for the Loudoun County facility, it said.
Folsom-based South Jersey will also manage new pipeline capacity for Panda on Dominion Transmission to the Stonewall project.
“SJRG’s commodity marketing program has allowed us to link generators to abundant and affordable natural gas supplies,” Michael Renna, president and COO of South Jersey Industries, said in a prepared statement. “We are extremely pleased to continue working with Panda on this new project in Virginia and are excited about the opportunities SJRG has in the growing gas-fired merchant electricity generation industry.”
