Sparta Systems promotes CFO to COO

Sparta Systems Inc. announced Monday that it has promoted Steve Buonaiuto to chief operating officer.The Hamilton-based enterprise quality management software solutions provider said in a news release that Buonaiuto will also continue to serve as the company’s chief financial officer, a role he’s had since late 2014.

Buonaiuto has more than 25 years of experience in senior management positions at global tech companies in the areas of accounting, finance and operations.

“In less than a year, Steve has had a meaningful impact on the business with his exceptional managerial skills, operational expertise and financial acumen,” Eileen Martinson, CEO of Sparta Systems, said in a prepared statement. “As COO, Steve’s ability to build and integrate exceptional teams will be even more critical to ensure we continue to grow.”

In this role, he will be responsible for the company’s growth trajectories and its global services and support, finance, legal, business development and information technology.
