St. Francis Medical taps Moen as president

St. Francis Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, has named former Covenant Health executive Daniel Moen as its new president.St. Francis Medical Center, part of Trinity Health, has named former Covenant Health executive Daniel Moen as its new president.

He replaces David Ricci, who has been interim president of the Trenton-based hospital since November, after Trinity signed a deal to merge St. Francis into the Cooper University Health Care’s system.

Most recently, Moen served as interim senior vice president of Covenant Health. Moen has also served as CEO of the Sisters of Providence Health System, in Massachusetts, where he helped create Trinity Health New England.

He also acted as interim president for St. Mary Medical Center in Pennsylvania. And he consulted with Trinity Health and its Regional Health Ministry leadership on high-priority projects, including regionalizing services and colleague engagement.

“Daniel Moen is a highly respected, experienced executive who is well positioned to lead St. Francis Medical Center during a transformational time in the healthcare industry,” said St. Francis Medical Center Board Chair, Dr. Joseph Youngblood.
