St. Luke’s University Health Network announced that effective Oct. 1, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) designated St. Luke’s Warren Campus as both an OMNIA Tier 1 provider and a participant in the Horizon Medicare Blue Advantage (HMO) Plan.
“We have been working diligently to form better relationships with our New Jersey insurers,” said Scott Wolfe, president of St. Luke’s Warren Campus. “This new designation as an OMNIA Tier 1 facility by Horizon BCBSNJ is the best example of those efforts to date. Our ultimate goal is to expand patient access to the high level of care for which St. Luke’s has long been known in northwestern New Jersey”
“Warren Campus, located in Warren County, New Jersey is part of Pennsylvania based St. Luke’s University Health Network. It is critical for our Warren Campus to have the best possible relationship with New Jersey-based Horizon BCBSNJ. Our tagline reflects our intent. We are ‘St. Luke’s Strong, New Jersey proud’,” said Wolfe.
According to Horizon, under the agreement, St Luke’s Warren Campus, including its inpatient and all outpatient ancillary and testing services, will be OMNIA Tier 1 for Horizon’s commercial OMNIA plans and for all of its Medicare Advantage plans, including Horizon Medicare Blue Advantage (HMO).
For northwestern New Jersey patients with Horizon BCBSNJ OMNIA or Horizon Medicare Blue Advantage (HMO) coverage, this means greater access to St. Luke’s care for less cost. (Horizon BCBSNJ OMNIA patients incur lower cost-sharing expenses when they use OMNIA Tier 1-designated hospitals, physicians and ancillary providers and services.)
