After teaming with Univision to launch a weekly television series to better serve and connect with its members, and members of the community, a New Jersey business group is, yet again, preparing to take its mission to a new dimension.
On Tuesday, the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey announced its First 3-D Interactive Virtual Business Expo will be held on June 26, 2020.
The event is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but sponsors and attendees will be able to continue connecting in the virtual environment for several days, according to SHCCNJ, and “live streams” will be archived.
In a statement, SHCCNJ Chairman Luis De La Hoz distinguished between the chamber’s upcoming experience and the video meetings that have become prevalent as people work from home and avoid mass gatherings in the wake of COVID-19. “This is not another Zoom meeting or workshop,” he said. “This is … a way for businesses to sell products, services and demonstrate their abilities to participants.”
Vender space – which includes a company video, downloadable business cards, brochures, social media access, chat boxes and more – is available for members and nonmembers by reaching out to email@example.com, or visiting the event page.
“Our hopes for everyone attending are to build new and meaningful relations,” SHCCNJ President and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Medina said in a prepared statement. “Now more than ever, Hispanics share the responsibility to uplift each other.”
The SHCCNJ serves as the voice for more than 120,000 Latino businesses, contributing more than $20 billion to the state economy. It has been ranked No. 1 on the NJBIZ Chambers of Commerce list for three consecutive years.
