“It’s now more important than ever that we ease indoor capacity restrictions to allow our properties to resume indoor meetings and conferences,” the Casino Association of New Jersey said.

Set to feature a 25,000-square-foot sports bar, performance stages, convention and meeting spaces, and a speak-easy that will complement the resort's $100 million, 103,000-square-foot indoor water park currently underway, the gallery will employ 100 people.

The announcement comes just days after parent company Caesars Entertainment said it’s spending $170 million to upgrade rooms at Harrah’s and Caesars this summer.

The deal combines two of the premier operations in the sports betting and iGaming industries under one roof.

Plans include remodeled room towers, new restaurants and amenities, and a focus on revitalizing the company’s flagship casino-hotel, Caesars Atlantic City, on the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk.

Several additions will come to the casino floor, including an all-new high-limit table games venue, a unique Asian gaming space, as well as two new guest lounges for Ocean Rewards cardmembers.

Combined, $113.7 million was won for the month, a 75.4% increase from last year.

The transaction was completed in partnership with HUD and the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency, and financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) arranged in partnership with PNC Bank, with additional financing provided by Citibank.

Terry Glebocki is the first female president of the association. She has three decades of financial management experience, including serving as chief financial officer of Ocean Casino Resort and Tropicana Entertainment Inc.

Gross profits for the state’s nine casinos were nearly $594 million in 2019, before dropping to $117 million in 2020, according to data released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.

The words – “partner” and “partnership” – remain crucial in Atlantic City as the state and city work in tandem to lure in businesses beyond gambling. Those efforts are evident with Stockton's new, 413-bed dorm in the city’s Chelsea neighborhood, which includes the $230 million “AC Gateway” anchored by SJI headquarters and the university's campus.

“There aren’t many industries that have rebounded with such high velocity post-pandemic to record revenue numbers. Online casino and sports betting have seen a meteoric rise over the last eight months,” Vice President of U.S. Business at the Gambling.com Group Max Bichsel said in a statement. “New Jersey is the model for the 45 or so states that haven’t legalized online gaming yet.”
