The move will increase access to more testing facilities for patients of the Egg Harbor Township health care provider, including at Walgreens.

Lori Herndon, who has led the South Jersey system since 2016, will lead the New Jersey Hospital Association board in 2022.

The deal would allow the system to expand its network of substance use disorder and behavioral health and wellness programs and services.

The three-story, 69,700-square-foot facility is located on the very same block where the health care system established its roots as Atlantic City Hospital in 1898.
