The group is looking to attract families to the Mile Square City this weekend, as well, with a next-day alternative to the seasonal bar crawl: an outdoor market and Holiday Extravaganza under the 14th Street viaduct featuring games, crafts, music and some seasonal surprises.

The project is part of the Complete Streets Initiative, a pedestrian safety scheme developed by the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, geared at designing roadways that account for the safety of all people, vehicles and bicycles.

The next chapter of Eric LeGrand’s remarkable story is set where it all began, in his hometown of Woodbridge. And in a come-full-circle moment, it takes place in the neighborhood where he lived the first few years of his life, where the former Rutgers University football star is planning to open LeGrand Coffee House downtown later this year.
