NJ Transit lifts mask mandate

The move comes after the TSA announced April 18 it would no longer enforce the requirement on public transportation, following a ruling by U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle in Florida, who, according to a Reuters report, determined it was unlawful in these settings.

NJ Transit to see $1.6B American Rescue Plan grant

Gov. Phil Murphy announces construction will begin at four New Jersey train stations as a result of a renewed partnership between New Jersey Transit and Amtrak at the New Brunswick Train Station on Oct. 15, 2019.

In 2020, the statewide agency provided approximately 206 million trips for riders. That works out to 1 out of every 29 nationwide, according to U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker. And that's not just along the rails; together with its buses, the agency covered 152 million miles in 2021.
