Talent management firm True named Kate Vanek as global chief operating officer and chief financial officer, the Haddonfield company announced Sept. 12.

Vanek, who joined True in April as general manager of its EMEA and APAC businesses, will be responsible for growing the company’s global investments and ensuring operational success across its worldwide team and 21 offices. She will continue to lead its EMEA and APAC businesses, as well.

In addition, Vanek will help expand the success of products and services such as the company’s True Search, AboveBoard, Thrive and TrueBridge.

Vanek’s extensive background includes experience in strategy and business operations, finance, M&A, investor relations, DE&I initiatives and leadership development.

Most recently, she was chief operating officer of global finance and chief financial officer of EMEA at BlackRock. She also served as chief financial officer of Nielsen’s U.S. media business and as senior vice president of global investor relations.

“Kate is a proven strategic COO and a high-impact finance executive who will help solidify our operational maturity, which will ultimately benefit our clients, teams and candidates,” True co-CEO and co-founder Brad Stadler said in a statement.

Joe Riggione, True co-CEO and co-founder, said Vanek’s leadership style “motivates and inspires,” adding that she’s “an already-trusted partner with a deep understanding of how we’re reshaping the talent management industry to be more transparent, people-focused, and technologically sophisticated.”

Vanek said she was “thrilled” to continue on at the company in her new role, saying the company’s investment in new data technologies “will push the boundaries of what an executive search firm can be.”
