Technology expense management company Tangoe has acquired Mobi, a leading managed mobility services company, creating a combined company managing $40 billion in annual technology spending and 10 million connected devices, according to Tangoe.Technology expense management company Tangoe has acquired Mobi, a leading managed mobility services company, creating a combined company managing $40 billion in annual technology spending and 10 million connected devices, according to Tangoe.

Parsippany-based Tangoe announced the acquisition Wednesday.

Mobi President and co-founder Josh Garrett will join Tangoe as president of MMS, reporting to Tangoe CEO Bob Irwin. Meanwhile, Mobi CEO and co-founder Scott Kraege will join the Tangoe board of directors and continue on in an advisory role. 

According to the company, Tangoe boasts more 40 patents in TEM technology. The company said combining with Mobi will allow it to accelerate the rollout of new enhancements for telecom management, mobility and cloud assets, and programs.

Mobi’s Indianapolis offices will become the headquarters for the combined company’s global MMS business.
