Financial terms of the deal for Fishkill-based Communications Specialists Inc. were not disclosed.
Squan said in a news release that the deal would give it broader reach and a wider services base to support existing clients and add new ones belonging to CSI.
The company has been seeking to expand its services to support its long-term view toward “Smart City” development and other network technological advances.
“CSI stands out as a leader in quality and is a growing provider of services that are highly complementary to the current business in which Squan is engaged,” Squan CEO Duane Albro said in a prepared statement. “We see tremendous long-term value by incorporating these synergies. Our combined companies will leverage cross-functional skills across each of our service lines as we layer new skills onto our ever-expanding geographical footprint.”
In the next several months, the CSI brand will become Squan Fiber Infrastructure Solutions. It will remain in its Fishkill office under the leadership of Ken Stabler, the company’s CEO, who will become president of the unit, reporting to Albro.
“We share Squan’s vision of becoming a complete end-to-end network infrastructure provider,” Stabler said in a statement. “Together, we form a world-class company providing leading-edge solutions with an emphasis on quality and safety for our customers.”
