Construction management company Torcon announced Thursday that it is completing four building projects at a pair of New Jersey colleges. At Bloomfield College, Torcon is finalizing the construction of Franklin Residence Hall, an 83,000-square-foot residence hall. That is the largest project in school history, Torcon said, and will be completed in time for students to move onto campus for the fall semester.

The building includes 240 beds in suite configurations, as well as amenities, and a new 5,000-square-foot Barnes & Noble store on the ground level that doubles the size of the existing college bookstore.

At Seton Hall University, Torcon is wrapping up three projects. They include the expansion of Aquinas Hall, a dormitory, with a 10,000-square-foot, three story addition and 25,000-square-foot overbuild. This project will add 64 student rooms as well as lounges and renovations. The second project is the reconstruction of Stafford Hall, in which an academic building was torn down and replaced with a three-story building that contains 12 classrooms. Finally, Torcon managed the expansion of an on-campus parking garage that will add room for 600 cars.
