Travel management company names new exec

A travel management company with offices in Mahwah announced Monday it has named a travel industry veteran its senior vice president of operations.Direct Travel said Christine Sikes will oversee its strategic operational efficiencies and client-driven services and solutions nationwide.

“Christine’s appointment is part of our overall endeavor and vision of helping our clients stay ahead of the accelerating pace of change,” Ed Adams, Direct Travel CEO, said in a news release. “A consultative approach in every facet of our business is critical.  Her proven track record in developing and implementing successful client-driven programs has distinguished her as an operational leader, and she’s the perfect fit with our corporate culture.”

Most recently, Sikes was vice president of program management for Carlson Wagonlit Travel’s SatoTravel Military & Government division.
