Jennifer Roselle and Lawrence Bluestone were elevated to partner at Genova Burns LLC in Newark, the firm announced June 14.
Roselle joined the firm nine years ago and is a key member of its labor practice group. Bluestone, a member for eight years, is part of the firm’s complex commercial litigation and appellate practices.
“Neither has shied away from assuming extra responsibilities in the firm’s interest, well beyond the day-to-day obligations of the private practice of law,” said Angelo Genova, chairman and managing partner of Genova Burns. “Whether it is Jen’s leadership and successful role in New Jersey State labor negotiations, a unique credential that few Labor lawyers can put on their resume, or Lawrence’s stellar leadership in key, sophisticated, complex and controversial litigations, and his unwavering mentorship of others, each have stepped up in a big way for our clients and our Firm time after time.”
Bluestone focuses his practice on large business disputes in the state and federal courts in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. In the appellate practice group, he works with clients after proceedings at the trial court level.
“In addition to continuing to work with my talented colleagues and honing my skills as a litigator, as a partner, I hope to help mentor younger attorneys at Genova Burns, something I experienced personally when I first started at the firm fresh out of a judicial clerkship,” said Bluestone, who is a member of the LGBT Section for the New Jersey Bar and the LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
On her time at Genova Burns, Roselle said, “I’ve been given the chance to learn new areas of law, been given opportunities to lead, and have always known that I had full support of everyone here. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow with the support of such amazing people and hopefully be able to teach others along the way.”
