Patrons wishing to leave the facility by Uber will now have a dedicated pick-up zone, located in Lot E. The groups are offering to make the first ride free (up to $20 for first-time users), by using code METLIFE2017.
Meadowlands Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Jim Kirkos said the partnership makes sense on many levels.
“Together, MetLife Stadium and Uber will continue to grow the local economy, by helping residents and visitors enjoy all that the Meadowlands has to offer through cost-effective transport options,” Kirkos said. “If you make it easier for people to get where they’re going, the benefits compound for everyone, customers and businesses alike.”
MetLife Stadium CEO and President Ron VanDeVeen said the agreement is about creating more options for spectators.
”We’re excited to partner with Uber to provide another convenient transportation option for our guests attending events at MetLife Stadium,” he said.
Uber General Manager Sarfraz Maredia agreed.
“Uber couldn’t be more excited to begin this partnership with MetLife Stadium,” he said. “Whether you’re going to a football game or to see your favorite band, we’ll help you leave the keys at home and connect with an affordable, convenient ride.”
