Englewood Cliffs-based Unilever is shutting its Henderson, Nev. plant, cutting 300 jobs, according to a Unilever spokesperson.
The facility manufactures ice cream products from Ben and Jerry’s, Breyers, Magnum, Popsicle, Good Humor and Klondike.
The plant closing was deemed to be in the best long-term interest of the business, the spokesperson said.
Affected employees can apply to jobs at other sites, including in Sikeston, Mo.; Covington, Tenn.; and Vermont, where the work is being transferred to.
