Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo plans to open its fifth New Jersey store.
Located at Jersey City’s Newport Centre, the newest shop is scheduled to open this spring, according to the retailer’s website.
Founded in 1949, Uniqlo is known for its well-made, casual clothing for women, men and children, as well as its artist collaborations. The brand now has more than 2,300 stores in 25 markets around the world.
Within New Jersey, the chain has stores at American Dream mall in East Rutherford, Paramus Park mall in Paramus, Willowbrook Mall in Wayne and Menlo Park Mall in Edison.
Uniqlo joins a retail lineup at Newport Centre that includes Aeropostale, American Eagle, Express, H&M, Hollister, Loft, Social Apparel, Champ’s, Forever 21 and Vans.
