Unique Photo opens new superstore in Philadelphia’s Old City District

Fairfield-based Unique Photo said it has opened its new superstore in the historic Old City District of Philadelphia.

The new four-floor, 9,600-square-foot retail location at 28 South Street, officially opened its doors on November 29.

New Jersey’s largest camera superstore and center for photography education, said the superstore features a multi-media learning center, professional photo lab and studio space, along with all of the extensive photography services and educational programs that have made Unique Photo one of the leading photographic retailers and distributors in the nation. The store is an Apple-authorized service provider and will offer educational workshops at its “Unique University,” one-on-one training, printing and photo restoration services, equipment buy-back programs, rental and repair services.

“Old City in Philadelphia is a vibrant, one-of-a-kind location, and we’re excited to bring our new photography superstore to the neighborhood,” said President Alexander Sweetwood. “Our goal is to offer access to the latest camera technology, education and services that have made our New Jersey store the ultimate destination for amateur and professional photographers alike.”

In celebration of the opening, Unique Photo will welcome new customers with an in-store $10,000 shopping spree giveaway, holiday specials, and complimentary one-on-one camera training.

Store hours are: Monday – Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
