Let’s face it: Talking about some health-related topics can be, well, embarrassing. But as the medical profession knows, it’s important to address them.
To do so, Ridgewood-based Valley Health System launched a podcast series titled “Conversations Like No Other,” which “goes beyond conventional and everyday health topics” to discuss personal issues facing both adults and children alike. Listeners are free to follow along from the privacy of their cars, offices or during walks around their neighborhoods.
Each 15- to 20-minute episode will interview a Valley Health medical professional and address “topics that are personal, delicate and very relevant,” according to a June 14 announcement.
The podcasts can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, iHeart, TuneIn and Google Podcasts, as well as on Valley Health’s website. The first two episodes are available now:
- “Every Child Poops! Making #2 Your #1 Priority” featuring Dr. Lauren Dankner, pediatric gastroenterologist
- “The APB on HPV” with Dr. Christiana Farkouh, director of pediatrics, and Dr. Eleonora Teplinksky, head of breast medical oncology
