Valley Home Care launched a free virtual bereavement support and discussion group for those who have experienced the loss of a partner within the past 12 months.
The group, which the Ridgewood health care provider announced earlier this month, is called “New Beginnings” and will meet four times a year via Microsoft Teams, beginning in February.
Licensed social worker and seasoned group facilitator Carley Anne Tsaglos will lead the sessions. Tsaglos, who earned her master’s degree in social work from New York University, has specialized in group work for 25 years and focuses on topics related to illness, loss and bereavement.
Tsaglos said the goal of the group, which is open to individuals of all ages, “is to help foster a connection with others, decrease isolation and speak freely.”
The first session will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13. The three remaining sessions will take place in May, August and November, Valley announced. There is no charge to attend, Tsaglos confirmed with NJBIZ.
Space is limited. To register or for more information, email Tsaglos at [email protected].
