Wakefern recalls Bowl & Basket seasoning blend

Listen to this articleWakefern Food Corp. is voluntarily recalling its Bowl & Basket Specialty Hawaiian Teriyaki Spice Rub after some containers were mislabeled and may contain black sesame seeds, a known allergen.
Distributed at the Keasbey-based grocery cooperative’s ShopRite and The Fresh Grocer supermarket banners, the affected product comes in a 2.3-ounce container with a UPC code of 04119008066.
Announcing the recall Sept. 7, Wakefern spokesperson Maureen Gillespie said there have been no reports of illness associated with the product and that customers are being advised to return the item for an immediate refund or replacement.
Additionally, the company said it reached out to Price Plus club cardholders who purchased the product to alert them of the issue.
