Walgreens to open in Teaneck by next year

Win Development LLC announced Thursday it has submitted construction and engineering plans to the City of Teaneck and Bergen County to build a Walgreens.Win Development will close on the purchase of the property in September, with demolition of existing structures and construction of the new 10,737-square-foot property to begin immediately at 520 Cedar Lane.

The Walgreens is expected to open in the summer of 2016.

“Weiss Realty saw this as a great opportunity for Walgreens to reenter the Teaneck’s Cedar Lane,” Jaime Weiss, president of Weiss Realty Co. Inc., the broker who arranged the transaction on behalf of Win Development, said in a prepared statement. “Walgreens adds an important asset to Teaneck’s central business district, and it introduces a new use on a site that has been underutilized for many years.”
