Digital native eyewear brand Warby Parker is opening a brick and mortar location in Princeton at 46 Nassau St. on July 17.
The store will carry the brand’s full optical and sun eyewear offerings including its first brand of daily contact lenses, Scout by Warby Parker.
Folks who have vision insurance through UnitedHealthcare and Spectra may get a new pair of glasses for just their copay. Warby Parker also accepts payment through health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts.
The store features custom artwork by New Jersey-native illustrator Julia Rose Barnes who is working on a special mural for this location exclusively.
During opening weekend, customers will receive a voucher for a complimentary scoop of ice cream from The Bent Spoon in Princeton.
There are already four Warby Parker stores in New Jersey. The last location to open was in Shrewsbury in October 2019. Based in New York City, Warby Parker exemplifies the clicks-to-bricks trend, where formerly online-only brands strategically expand to brick-and-mortar retail spaces.
The trend dominated the retail sector prior to the pandemic. Warby Parker first entered New Jersey in Paramus in fall 2018, and Hoboken and Westfield locations soon followed.
The Princeton Warby Parker location will be open Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
