Web event on staying connected raises funds for pandemic relief

An NJBIZ webinar about how to stay connected while following stay-at-home mandates raised more than $3,000 for the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund.

Scheduled for May 5 at 11:00 a.m., the program will feature Karen Yankovich, the CEO of Uplevel Media, a LinkedIn marketing firm focused on digital strategies. She is also the host of the podcast “Good Girls Get Rich” and an expert on using LinkedIn to develop businesses.

The topics Yankovich will cover include: why now is the time to build the network of your dreams; being intentional in your connection requests; developing relationships with your existing connections; and using the LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Registrants are asked to make a donation that will support NJPRF. New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy chairs the charity. The chief executive officer is Josh Weinreich, a retired banker who also serves as chairman of the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Established on March 24, the NJPRF said on April 13 that it had raised about $20 million. On April 22, the “Jersey 4 Jersey broadcast raised nearly $6 million for the charity.
