Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer John Kritzmacher will retire from Wiley at the end of the year with Dow Jones’ CFO set to assume the position.
Christina Van Tassell will join Wiley at the end of November as executive vice president and CFO, the education and research company announced Oct. 28. Kritzmacher has been with company for eight years and will stay through the end of the year to support the transition.
“For eight years, John Kritzmacher has been an exceptional leader for Wiley, helping to drive the company’s strategic direction, expanding growth profile and overall financial strength,” said Wiley President and Chief Executive Officer Brian Napack in a prepared statement. “He has built an outstanding finance organization and leaves us well positioned for a bright future.”
Van Tassell has served as CFO for Dow Jones since 2017. She will report to Napack and join the company’s executive leadership team.
Hoboken-based Wiley said she has more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles at global finance organizations. Prior to Dow Jones, Van Tassell was CFO at Xaxis, a WPP Company, and a partner and CFO at Centurion Holdings.
Earlier this month, Wiley announced its acquisition of North Carolina-based publishing services company J&J Editorial Services LLC.
