Folks coming from Manhattan don’t need to get caught up in traffic en route to American Dream, opening later this month: they can now take the ferry.
American Dream has partnered with commuter ferry service NY Waterway to provide a ferry-bus service from the city to the mega-mall.
NY Waterway’s free shuttle buses will take guests to the West 39th Street Midtown Ferry Terminal for the eight-minute ferry ride across the Hudson River to Port Imperial in Weehawken. From there, buses will be waiting to take riders to American Dream. Ferries depart every 10 minutes during peak, and every 20 minutes during off-peak, hours.
Bus-only service from Port Imperial to American Dream will also be available.
“We’re thrilled to partner with NY Waterway to provide American Dream guests and employees with a convenient, simple way to access our property from Manhattan,” said American Dream Chief Executive Officer Don Ghermezian in a statement. “We expect families both living in and visiting New York City to frequent our property, and I can’t think of a better way to begin the world-class experience than a short ride across the Hudson River with breathtaking views of Manhattan.”
Tickets can be purchased online beginning on opening day, Oct. 25.
