Zimmel Associates closes 2018 on a high note

Commercial real estate agency Zimmel Associates, of Edison on Thursday announced a number of recent sales.

David Zimmel brokered the $2.1 million sale of 27 Schoolhouse Road, a one-story, 17,000-square-foot, free-standing flex building on three acres.

Zimmel was hired by Oritani Bank, who foreclosed on the Somerset building. The buyer was Nelish Meta, president of Watchung-based Premier Medical Corp. The building is located off I-287. The listing was attained and sold within 45 days.

Meanwhile, Jaime Zimmel 2018 out with a $2.093 million-sale of an industrial building in Piscataway.

North Brunswick-based Aucta Pharmaceuticals LLC was represented by Jaime Zimmel in its purchase of 71 Suttons Lane, a free-standing 12,400-square-foot building complete with a laboratory.

Jason Zimmel finished the year handling multiple long-term leases in December.

Jason was the exclusive broker for multiple properties for the The Torsiello Organization. First, at Toranco-Oak Tree Plaza, 2163 Oak Tree Road in Edison, Zimmel leased 3800 square feet of space to Norcom South LLC, a networking and communications company.

He also brokered 505 Thornall St. in Edison, leasing 2200 square feet of space to Accelirate. It is a 40,000-square-foot building in Metro Park.

Lastly, Jason closed the year handling 2,200-square-foot long-term lease at 198 Route 9 N. in Manalapan for The Torsiello Organization. The space was leased to Chemyunion, a globally recognized company for creating and developing innovative actives in the areas of dermocosmetics, life science, hair care and sensorial excipients.
