Amazon’s new delivery station in Budd Lake is scheduled to officially open for business this week and welcome new associates inside the 130,000 square-foot building to celebrate its Day One of operation.

The delivery station at 81 International Drive S. will create more than 250 full-time and part-time associate jobs, all paying at least $15.00 per hour, in addition to hundreds of driver opportunities for Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners and Amazon Flex drivers.

In June, Amazon Logistics said it signed various leases in an effort to open 14 delivery stations in New Jersey in 2020, of which the Budd Lake facility was among.

Delivery stations power the last mile of the online retailer’s order process and help speed up deliveries for customers. Packages are shipped to a delivery station from neighboring Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers.

In celebration of the Budd Lake station launch, Amazon associates held a service day that included beautification projects at Schooley’s Mountain County Park and a donation to the Mount Olive Food Pantry.
