New Jersey Big Data Alliance will host the Future of Big Data: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at its sixth annual symposium on April 5, at New Jersey City University, in Jersey City.

The New Jersey Big Data Alliance is a partnership of 16 higher education institutions that works with NJEdge, a nonprofit consortium created to support New Jersey’s institutions of higher education, to advance data-driven innovation and education in New Jersey.

The alliance was recognized in 2014 by the New Jersey State Legislature as the state’s cyberinfrastructure consortium.

The alliance was recently selected by the Governor’s Future of Work Task Force to develop a research paper called: “New Jersey Big Data Workforce Roadmap: An Examination of the Challenges and Opportunities for New Jersey’s Workforce to Successfully Compete in the Data-Driven Economy.” This included a research team from Rutgers University and Montclair State University.
